Yellow and Black

These photos are not as good as some in the past, primarily because I didn’t have enough natural light. However, because it was early morning and still about 54 degrees, I was able to get within a couple inches of the nest. I went back in the afternoon, when the sun was out, and I couldn’t get near them.

I like the full-on eye contact.

Dude......... And those shot by a man with proven allergies and no history of having an Epi-Pen anywhere near........

Looks like those two are saying "one millimiter closer and your ours!"

The first thing that happened this morning was my cat meowing at the door and when I opened it there was a decapitated mouse in his mouth. Then I go to my computer, check the baseball stats as I do every morning, and there was a video of an obnoxious squirrel on the Indians field last night (at least they beat the yankees) which apparently caused a game delay (don't like squirells). And then I go to the blog. Way to gross me out first thing in the morning. Please, no bugs. None. Not even if you have the proper light. Even when they are spectacular pictures, as these are, it will leave me itchy and with bad dreams. Lillies please, or canoes, or lakes, but no bugs!

My bugology is not too sharp. Are these bumblebees or hornets? Whatever they are--most colorful good pix.
