Dark as Night
Since you ran with kissing-cousin images in both the recent Today's Events post (above Selecting a Reader) and the not-so-recent (but still September) At Great Pond post, there must be something about last year's late May trip to Gilsum calling you (though it's also nearly exactly the two-year anniversary of a just-boys trip to Gilsum -- coincidence?). Been too long for you Mr. Mike? Your chilluns growing up on you and becoming distracted by their separate lives? Absent numerous notable factors, but Rainbow's just around the bend, you know, with the cold swimming that affords (to the mad). Never yet night swimming, though ...

I recalibrated my monitor so the background is back to a deep, dark gray and not black. My relatively new monitor reminds me of how your studio display used to be - super bright. While my older monitor's screen display reminds me of a couch left too long next to a sunny window.
Do I detect a challenge?
